Google will make its own nexus now
Google’s own vs Nexus
The Telegraph doesn’t go into any detail, but the story does partially match a credible report from The Information claiming that Google would take more control over the devices it sells under the Nexus brand. According to that report, future Nexus devices will only have Google’s brand on them, effectively relegating the manufacturing partner to ODM status, akin to how Foxconn makes devices for

Is Huawei working on its own OS?
Even a mobile giant like Samsung has trouble getting Tizen OS off the ground, which leaves us wondering why Huawei would want to pursue a similar tactic. Recent rumors say the Chinese manufacturer finds itself working on a mobile OS alternative to Android, named Kirin OS. Is this true? We are not certain yet, but CEO Richard Yu has taken the conversation to Weibo and it is getting interesting.

new note in the way (Galaxy note 7)
There are many notes about the Note, including a new one that might have a dual edge display but isn’t made by Samsung. Regardless, for the majority of the masses, the term calls forth a specific sizable smartphone: the Samsung Galaxy Note. Last year saw the mainstay model move into a more meaningful glass sandwich, and along with it the removal of a user-replaceable battery and microSD support. It was also numbered “5”. This year’s model will buck that trend. It has been rumored that the new Note will have the number 7 on it as Samsung opts to skip 6 and suddenly synchronize with its S series. Today, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has posted the following:
The above logo seemingly confirms the rumors. While it’s possible Blass could be off – he did Tweet this after all – his status as a legendary leaker is not without good reason: the man has some damn good connections and sources. So, assuming this is indeed the real logo, Samsung “seven” synergy is looming large.
There is of course a slight bit of amusement in the fact that, while having both the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lines on the same number, Samsung might inadvertently be confusing customers who end up asking where the Galaxy Note 6 went. Then again, if Microsoftcan skip a number, why can’t everyone else, too?
